The Hideaway
Project Brief:
This project aim is to investigate ideas of identity and home / community in the city. What does it mean to belong; to a group, a place, a home?
In the past couple of months we spent most of our day at home studying, sleeping, eating etc.
The brief was about to collect a fragment, a phenomena or essence of
the place we currently call home and implant this into the library of Regent’s Park University campus as a secret HideAway.
Site: Tate library
Location: Regents University London- the Regent’s Park

The Essence of Home
The city which I call home is Dubai, it is a city known for its great architecture buildings and interiors. Patterns, shadows and repetition is what it defines the city. In every building you could see a dynamic figure that is repeated in the structure which results in making shadows and light.

Growing on one another
As the site is in the middle of a park, I benefited from the views and I wanted to inhabit this idea of colours with patterns, shadows and light. The activity that is introduced is an artistic painter because of the feeling of the space. The person should be inspired by what’s around them in which resulted in having a particular view with the sense of a dynamic space which is all about colours.

Patterns - Colours - Shadows - Dynamic
